We'll never forget you

15 years ago, during my search for a new puppy, my husband and my daughter brought home a little ball of white fur in a BIG red bow.(It was my Valentine's gift). Well, it wasn't long before that little furbaby (I named him CHARLEY) stole his way permanently into our hearts. Having an "only" child, he became her brother and our son. Years went by.......Daddy got sick and went to heaven........Charley became sick and was diagnosed with a very bad heart. Being a nurse, I doted on him and gave him his medications at exact times of the day. He had his ups and downs........but most recently I knew that it was coming to the end. This past Monday night I went to bed and made the decision and cried myself to sleep. Still hoping for a miracle, CHARLEY really worsened. Thursday I called the vet and made an appt to put him to sleep. My daughter and I cried and cried about the decision and the wait. When the time came, we held him and loved him and we know he knows............it was amazingly very peaceful. Now I know he is without pain, and is a puppy again. Mommy, Daddy, and Heather will all meet him at the Rainbow Bridge someday......We will always love you CHARLEY..............
