as i sit here with out you
i wonder how it could be true
that i would find such joy and love
from a dog as little as you
i remenber when i saw you tha day
i wanted to take you home right away
you were so flffy and white
and you fit in my hand just right
i got you to help erase the pain
of losing my other friend sammy was her name
you wanted to chew on my ears and hair
and so i knew we were the perfect pair
but unknown to my heart
was that soon we too would part
you were sick inside
and you never got better no matter how hard i tried
you took with you all my new found joy
and almost my whole world destroyed
i buried you next to my beloved sammy
i know she will watch over you for me
someday we will all play together
and that time will last forever
goodbye my sweet friend
and ill see you when my life here does end
