Memories of Roxie
Our brave little girl Roxie brought happiness and love to our home for many years. We knew she was meant to be with our family the first day she came to our home. Roxie started showing her love as soon as she entered the door running to the kids and showing them affection, then she pee'd on the rug LOL!. Roxie's eyes would light up everytime we came home always showing the love she had for us. Roxie was also the big sister to her brothers Shadow and Fraizer, putting them in their place when they needed it and fussing over them when they needed help. She was a playful ball of fire when she was young and a loving companion as she aged. At times when you were sick our felt down she was always the one who was there to make you feel better. As time passed and Roxie grew old she struggled to keep up with her brothers. Roxie's heart was there with them as she sat with a smile on her face and watched as her brothers ran around like goof balls. Then at one vet visit in July the horrible word "Cancer" came into our life. Roxie was found to have a Mass Cell Tumor on her side. After an attempt to remove the cancer failed her condition worsened. Roxie still continued to fight this terrible disease. Then in Aug of 2010 I was taken to the hospital and was told by the doctors that I also had Cancer. I started treatment and returned home to a loving companion who was ill herself but was still excited and happy to see me. Roxie's love and attention continued to help me through a rough part of my life as I battled my illness. This brave little girl was my partner in fighting this deadly disease. After many nights of laying with her, holding her, wrapping her wounds, giving her medicine and comforting her as she cried. The time came when we had to let her go. That day was one of the most horrible days of my families life 10/03/2010. We were there as a family for the last moments of her life comforting her as the end came. Our hearts still break every day as we think of her and feel the pain of knowing she is gone. Our family is happy and greatful for the time we had with her and are happy that her pain is now gone forever. We look forward to the day when we see our little girl again.

With All Our Love,
