I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Alexis. Please find comfort in knowing that Alexis is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Alexis, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. Dear Karen I'm sorry for the loss of your Alexis. What a beautiful tribute for a perfect friend.I lost my Finnbar in December.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye and I know how crippling the grief can be. I understand how hard it is to come home. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Alexis is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy.She's young again and even more perfect than you remember. There are so many new places to explore and meadows to lay in the sun..and all the chicken she can eat. She's having a ball with her new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. Sometimes if you're quiet you may still feel her sweet presence.I hope she's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat who loves to play. For Karen, I just visited Alexis' Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Alexis would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing.
