I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Casey. Please find comfort in knowing that Casey is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, and Zachary 02/19/23. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together,completely healed. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.... Eddie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I only got to meet Casey once but I could always tell by how you talked about her and shared memories and stories of her, that you and her had an unbreakable bond. It has pained me to see your sadness these past few months, as Casey’s health was decreasing. I know the gut-wrenching devastation that being a fur parent brings, once they go to heaven. There are no words to lessen the pain, so keep those memories of her close, and know that she loved you as much as you loved her. That was evident!
