I’m sorry for the loss of your beautiful albino peacock, Casper. The world lost a beautiful soul when it lost him. They say peacock’s are angels in disguise. I believe it. I know beautiful Casper is at the rainbow bridge welcoming newcomers and playing in the sun with all the birds and other animals there. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. You’ll see Casper again someday in the future at the rainbow bridge and he’ll likely wipe away all your tears with his feathers and welcome you in. Until then think of his beauty and all the good things.

What an awesome story on Casper, so beautiful a creature, so sad she was rejected by her family, and so sad what happened to her in the end, you must have been devastated to find her like that. I'm so sorry that happened to Casper and you, you are truly a real animal lover.

Casper is just gorgeous! I love white peacocks. Humans are so ignorant to do such a thing. I'm sure your beautiful friend is having a great time with all the other birds, including my own pet turkeys, Georgette and Glenn, one killed by feral dogs, one put down due to being bred for meat and he got so heavy he couldn't walk. Casper and them are probably chasing our kitties all over!I bet he looks like an angel perched on the Bridge!

Ginny, My 3 pigeons prompted me to check out Casper`s Anniversary date. We could not find the exact day but we know it is in April. It must be his 9th Anniversary? We love the beautiful photos of him - with his magnificent tail on display - and the photo of him with Ochi and Fifi - all with halos nicely in place! I spent 30 years of my life living with and rescuing wonderful London pigeons - and know how close we can become to birds. The passing of my 2 last pigeons brought me to RB where I found sanctuary for my own grief and a memorial site for all 3 precious birds: because of a special cat called Fifi! Ginny, I know how deeply you loved Casper and how your heart was broken over again by his passing. You prayed for him to come home - and he was taken Home to Heaven - instead! God took him and you wished you had never prayed that prayer - and blamed yourself for his end. Your prayer was out of loving concern and was a good prayer. You are never responsible for the evil of others!

I'm so very, very sorry to see what happened to this remarkably beautiful bird. What a horrible waste. How could anyone with a heart and a brain possibly needlessly destroy this precious, unique and special creature? I will never understand humans. My sincere condolences to you. I'm so very sad now, thinking of this.
