John, I feel your anguish and think I understand it. I send you my condolences on Chloe’s passing and am happy for the fond memories you have of your time together. In the autumn of 1967 my brother brought me a puppy for my 7th birthday. His name was Smokey and unfortunately he lived only a couple of months. I was the one who found him when he passed and it affected me for the rest of my life. It was decades before I could think about Smokey without bursting into tears. I’m 60 and it’s been only the last few years I’ve been able to think about Smokey and handle his collar and leash. John... Im your age and I too cry over past lost pets..as far back as yours. Dont ever think you did anything wrong in your decision..be kind to yourself. Your decision was made out of love...the hardest decision of all! Im sure the wonderful memories of Chloe and the lessons she taught you have made you into the compassionate person you are now....and always a great pet parent. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Chloe. Please find comfort in knowing that Chloe is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, and Bear 11/17/19. I am sure that Chloe and my babies have all become good friends. Our Pressy is the little old gray lady kitty who plays in golden sunbeams and chases bright rainbows and colorful butterflies with you. Pressy asked her family to visit playmate Chloe. She said she gives you special kitty love headbumps and taught you to send love signs on the wind so John feels your loving presence with him and sweet kisses when gentle breezes blow. Pressy said you send love signs to tell him you're in Paradise meadow watching over him waiting until he comes for you one day to cross Rainbow Bridge together forever. Play meadow games with other furangels in beautiful Paradise but stop often to smile at John so he feels the warmth of your love surround him and knows you miss him too and are with him for he loves you deeply and misses you so.
