Dodger was indeed cautious of strangers around her family. She was respectful but at the same time, she had her eye on you! The matriarch of the fur family, you might say. She was a good girl and I know her family misses her very much.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Dodger. Please find comfort in knowing that Dodger is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Dodger and Spooky have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Dear Adele and Andy, I have visited all of your furbabies' residences and they are all precious and beautiful. I know that they brought you many years of joy and companionship. You have been wonderful and loving parents to all of them and they are all smiling down on you from heaven. Little Dodger is as cute as the others and I'm sure she is "mothering" her siblings and new furfriends as they play in heaven's sunshine. Part of the joy we will know in heaven is the reuniting with our little furry soulmates that brought us so much happiness here on earth. Blessings.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

Adele and Andy-so sorry to hear about Dodger. I remember too how distant he would be to everyone except Andy when he would bring him to the office. But...you could still sense the sweetness. You'll see him again. He's waiting for you.

Your Dodger could be brother to my Bear, which I lost 6 months ago. I hope they are running and playing together. May the memories you have of your time together bring you comfort. God bless you for taking in a poor critter and showing them that people can be loving and giving.

Andy and Adele, I just visited Dodger, Diamond and Shagy. They were all beautiful. I knlw the pain and loss you feel in losing Dodger. These special little souls really do steal our hearts and take part of us with them when they leave us . I lost my precious Bichon, Amor 4 months ago. Maybe one day we will smile and not cry when we think of Dodger and Amor. We'll remember all the love and joy they gave us so freely. Please visit Amor at Rainbow Bridge to see my little girl. She died July 1, 2010 from cancer. Take care, God bless. Eleanor.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Dodger. You gave her a second chance to know what being loved feels like. I'll never understand how human beings don't "get" that all fur babies are a gift from God that someone could abandon or mistreat them in anyway. But there you were... It was not by chance you found Dodger on the side of the road, it was meant to be. I hope the love in your heart and your 15 years of memories will help you through this most difficult time. God Bless

Awww....my poor sweet Dodger-how I love you. I always wanted to take you home with me. Your shy behavior drew me to you as I felt we were kindred souls. How happy you made me when you trusted me on my first visit. Each time I saw you-the trust came sooner and sooner. I will miss you.

((Andy & Adele)) Sending you prayers of healing and comfort in the loss of your Dodger. I work with rescue and have have 7 rescues of my own, although I feel like they rescue us in so many more ways than we rescue them. There are so many out there and everytime I read a story of love like this one where one of the beautiful lost souls finds the love and the home that each of God's creatures deserve it brings hope to my heart. Again I send you prayers of healing and prayers of hope that the life you shared with your Dodger on this side will bring you the comfort you need in your temporary separation.

Sweet Dodger, For the longest time you would not greet me when I came. After a couple of years you started to greet me at the door. I looked forward to the welcome that I always receieved from you and your sisters and brother. I will miss your gentle soul and kind eyes. You were a very special girl. I love you Dodger and will miss you always. Love, Debby~

I am so sorry for your loss. 15 years is a long time but somehow not quite long enough. I speak from my own experience as we had Joshua for 17 1/2 years and that was a wonderful time in our lives but not quite enough. They are home now with the Lord and just waiting for us to rejoin them. Blessings of the Lord be with you now and forever.
