Although it has been a few years since his passing, I hope you are doing well. Please know that sweet Feathers would want you to take care of yourself just as you did for him. To Feathers, I know you are settled in and busy at the bridge. Flying high in the beautiful sky at the bridge, watching all the fur babies down below. Making new wing friends as I know you must be very popular and loved there. Take a minute and brush your mommy's heart with your beautiful wing just to let her know you are happy, healthy and whole again. Let her know you are flying free now. And when the time is right, you meet her at the bridge, look up in the sky and you will be there together forever.

I was looking at Titan's website and see that you baby Feathers entered Rainbow Bridge on the Same day as Titan. They and my Brother all likely had orientation together for Rainbow Bridge... I know Titan and Feather have become friend, and I know my Brother Marty is likely also watching over Feathers and giving him Treats as he does Titan.. Someday we will all met ...

Dear Mary, Birds are unique friends. Each and every word soothes the pain a little -- I didn't realize how much it helps to share the grief with those that understand. I just can't get over 16 years of unconditional love -- plus with a best friend who actually talked to me. She thought we were her flock and did not identify with birds. It really is losing a member of the family. I keep thinking it is a bad dream, but then I remember all the amazing fun and silly things and movies & popcorn and best friend things we shared. My heart goes out to you. I am sure Feathers is waiting for you. She sounds completely amazing and touched so many people who knew her!I know they are happy but missing us. Mary..Feathers is a beautiful boy, and the reason he would not leave when you tried to release him was he knew where he had it good!..a beautiful tribute for a great friend.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. He is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten.
