Kari.. a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Fred is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Fred. Please find comfort in knowing that Fred is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. We saw Fred on the internet and we knew immediately that he had to be part of our family. We jumped into the car and drove to NYC to get him, he was at a kill shelter so we didn’t waste any time. When we got there they told us we were too late that day. They said they would hold him for us the next day., which they did. But they gave him an awful haircut. We picked him up, put him in the car and started homr, he never made a peep. He became our main man, H always cared about the other dogs if the were sick or had a disanbility.We loved him more than you can imagine, and he loved us. We miss him and his perpetual look of wonder and we always will.
