Dede..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Gracie is a beautiful girl and just know in your heart you gave her the best home you could after what she had been through. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know she is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph, Eva and Hermione while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care.. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gracie. Please find comfort in knowing that Gracie is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, Zachary 02/19/23, Tanner 02/22/24 and Tiger 08/01/24. Hi Dede. Your tribute hits home. I had a rescue, a male Westie, that I believe was used for breeding before he was left at a shelter. He and a previously departed shih tsu, another rescue, helped me get through the passing of my husband. Now both are departed. It is so sad but I know in my heart that both these rescues would not want me to be sad. So I pick myself up, wipe my tears away and go on for them as well as myself. I pray that you are able to do that as well. So sorry for your pain.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gracie. Lossing a loved one, especially one that was there for you in such a difficult part of your life and got you through it, is so unbelievably hard. Try to remember that just as much love Gracie gave you, Gracie recieved that much love from you in return. She left earth and crossed the rain or bridge with so much love in her heart because of you. She left earth with a full heart thanks to you.
