Hello, precious Gumbo, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place at Rainbows Bridge. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase golden sunbeams and colorful rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy feels your loving presence with her and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until she comes to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in her heart forever. Play meadow games with other furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her. Soar among clouds now on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved sweet Gumbo. Pressy's Grandpa

Just a short note to let you know I share in your sadness in the loss of your fur baby, Gumbo. I'm originally from Louisiana, so that name caught my attention and I am glad I looked. What a beautiful one he was. It will take time, but I know our hearts can heal from such a loss on a pet that shows unconditional love to us. Blessings!

Esther, I am sorry for the passing of your beloved Gumbo - with you till his 17th year: a good life-span for a dog. Your `Sleeping Angel` must have been very happy to have remained in this life with you for nearly 2 decades. And now he has gone to his eternal home where no one ever grows old, ill or tired - leaving a hole in your heart that nothing and no one else can fill. He is a precious gift to you from God Who is now looking after him until it is your turn to join Gumbo in the Land of Love and Light God has prepared for all those who love Him. But your little dog has left his loving spirit to be near you always in this life and the next - where the unbreakable bonds of love between you will continue on into a timeless Eternity - where there will be no more parting or sorrow: the only tears shed will be those of joy when you meet again in the Heaven that awaits us - beautiful beyond anything we have known here on Earth. In time the pain of grief grows less - but Love never dies.

So sorry for the loss, of your furbaby, it is always hard to lose a good friend. May your days of pain and adjustment be short, and your memories of your baby bring you peace and love. No more pain or suffering for our furbabies, only sunshine and lots of new friends. Soon you will all be together again and going over the rainbow together, which is where your lives’ really begin

Hello Esther, As you begin to reflect on memories of your beautiful Gumbo. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

Esther..Gumbo is a beautiful girl....a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gumbo. Please find comfort in knowing that Gumbo is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Gumbo and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Esther- Often times there are no words to describe our best friend and companion, but Gumbo's picture surely did! With a sweet smile, endless loyalty and devotion, may those years you had shared always become a source of comfort in your time of need. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and a satiny pillow (sorry it's pink!) that I have placed at Rainbow Bridge in loving memory.

You gave him a wonderful life and It is not easy losing our loving companions. I completely understand the pain and grief that you are experiencing and you are not alone. Would like to share this poem read during Princess Diana's memorial. "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." (Henry Van Dyke) Hope that the many memories of Gumbo will continually provide you with comfort, he will forever live in your heart and memories. Esther, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Gumbo. I can see how much Gumbo was loved judging by the beautiful memorial you made. My beloved Murphy is at the Rainbow Bridge, too. He was my joy and light, and I miss him terribly. I hope Murphy and Gumbo meets so they can run and play in the warm sunshine together. May the wonderful memories of your little angel remain with you until you meet again.
