Sweet Gunner, here we are at the close of 2019 and as we have done for the last 16 years our thoughts turn to you. It’s a bittersweet time of the year ~ it’s the day we lost you and the day that turns our thoughts to the future. Regardless of how many years that pass, you will never be forgotten. It’s not easy to describe you in one word ~ Funny, Sweet, Kind, Loving, Regal, Heroic and so much more. You were my gift 22 years ago, arriving with a bow around your neck and squirming like a live-wire. No wonder they called you Fireball. Then life happened. You suffered a stroke when you were 3 years old but your tenacity to survive did not waver. You were the gift that kept on giving…until you could do no more. Thank you for your love and heroism to stay as long as you did. You always will be my special boy and as I have said time and again, “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again”. I love you Gunner ~ Mom Joey
