Shannon..Heidi is a beautiful girl.....a beautiful tribute for a great friend.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. Shannon, I am sorry for the passing of your little Heidi, with you for 18 years - a long life-span for any dog. You were both `lucky` to belong to each other for so many years. And that special friendship will never be taken away from you. Such deep bonds continue into the next life where there is no more old age, illness or dying - and Heidi will be waiting for you in that Land of Love and Light that God has created for all those who love Him - and the fur-children entrusted to us for a while in this short life. You say Heidi is now to `run free with no pain`. This makes me think you had to release her from pain - so often the hardest decision we as parents have to make for our pets when life becomes intolerable for them. I am sorry if you had to go through this and know how traumatic this decision is even though it is the right thing at the time. May you feel Heidi`s loving spirit with you always. She will be waiting to greet you at the Bridge when God calls you home - one happy day.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Heidi. Please find comfort in knowing that Heidi is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Heidi and my babies have all become good friends. Heidi, I never met you but feel like I know you. What a spunky, sweet, strong and courageous blessing you were and still are to your Mom. She and your brother Murphy miss you so much. I hope you are settled in by now in your new home. Please try to get in touch with my sweet little kitty Jessie who has only been there a few weeks. I hope you two can be friends. He probably knows the ropes there by now and can help you out. Also, you will love our big dog Julio. He has been there over three years and looks kinda intimidating but he is an absolute sweetheart and loves to play with other dogs. I know you will like him a lot. I have other kitties there also. It is surely comforting to know that you fur babies are in no pain and are running free in paradise and playing with each other.
