I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Horus. Please find comfort in knowing that Horus is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, Zachary 02/19/23, Tanner 02/22/24 and Tiger 08/01/24. Chelsea..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Horus is a handsome boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph, Eva and Hermione while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care.. Hi Chelsea. Without question you did the right thing. I have had to make the same decision twice in my lifetime. Each time was difficult but each time I knew in my heart that I could not let my beloved pets live in the agony that had become part of their everyday existence. Horus will always remain alive in your memories. I hope knowing Horus now is in a better place gives you some comfort during this difficult time.

Chelsea you were noble for adopting a dog that had serious medical issues. Most people would have chosen another. You had to put him down; Sure you could had the vet keep him alive but he would have been in pain. You did the caring and noble thing and you will be with him again.

Chelsea: Right from the start, although uncertain, Horus knew how much love you had to give and were able to work out the kinks to make this relationship (yet much too brief) work. The trust and love Horus had for you up until you had to make the most difficult decision, revealed that you were not going to allow pain and suffering and the quality of his life to be compromised. Although we do not know each other, I can assure you that you did make the right decision. And it was the last act of kindness your soulmate will ever know. May you feel the eternal energy continually from beyond the clouds and over the rainbow.

His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends.
