Such an adorable little doggie. So sorry he had to go & his little hips were not good. I just lost my fur baby and same happened to his hips it was so sad and heartbreaking but he also lived to be 15 and was very happy. I hope your memories and all the fun you had will soon replace all the tears. There is no word to describe the pain of this loss. And they mourn just like we do so I talk and sing to my angel every day. I tell him how much I miss him and how he still has a home with me forever and is also forever in my heart. It takes time and they adjust as we do. But at least right now they are feeling so much better. That fact is the only thing that gives me solace through all the pain. The love & the very special & fun life we have with them is not replaceable by anything. So sing & talk your love & know your baby is now your angel watching over you both. I wish you peace & soon the tears will stop. But the longing never does. It is the final gift we give: undying love.

Hi Mary and Jim. Thanks so much for your posting memories of Jake. I was moved to read how Jake came into your life. Jake was full of personality. It sound like despite his seeming small size he could be a fierce protector. Our fur babies give so much of themselves to us. Jake was full of love. In turn he was deeply loved and cherished. Such a bond is forever. I hope in holding memories of Jake dear to your hearts, you find comfort in recalling them.
