Christina..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Jeffie is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph, Eva and Hermione while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care.. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Jeffy. Please find comfort in knowing that Jeffy is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, and Zachary 02/19/23. I have had a lot of pet cats. But Zora was my kindred spirit. I never understood how people could greave so much. Till the same thing happened. Went from good to lethargic. In days. Cancer. Took her. It took days till I could read the poem fully with out tears. Then time goes buy and you look at the beautiful memories they gave you and their love. I hope your pain subsides. And memories take over

Christina: Unexpected losses are those that take time to process, particularly when Jeffy's behaviors did not seem out of the ordinary. To hear news about the mass had to be devastating and sadly, you did absolutely nothing wrong or had caused it. You loved Jeffy so much and why the decision to let him go with dignity to the Bridge was necessary, knowing the eternal energy from the bond you two had created would be sensed. Jeffy's uniqueness, especially with his crossed paws in that special moment will be lovingly remembered with a gentle smile. With sincere sympathy and a pot filled with Forget-Me-Not flowers that are so fittingly tagged.
