Hello Mary, I offer my sincere sympathy for your beautiful Lil' Abner. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish use to be, And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. I am so sorry for your loss of Lil Abner. He was beautiful,and I know you gave him a very loving home. 15 years of love and happiness. Now he is free to run and play until you meet again. He looks like a shih tzu? I lost lost 2 of my shih tzus since June. I am heartbroken, as I know you are. I know all of our fur kids are together, healthy and running free. Take care

Dear Mary I'm sorry for the loss of your Lil Abner. I lost my Finnbar last December.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Lil Abner is waiting for you at the bridge along with Daisy Mae, happy and healthy. There's places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when they need a break meadows to lie in the sun. They are having a ball with their friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope they've met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Lil' Abner. Please find comfort in knowing that Lil' Abner is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my cats, Sammi went to Rainbows Bridge. Spooky never met Hannah or Sammi but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah and Sammi at the bridge. It is so difficult losing our precious friends. I realize how you are feeling. If you will just take a moment to close your eyes and see your Lil Abner. Right beside him is your Daisy Mae. They are running and playing together. Both are healthy and strong and only joy and sunlight surround them. Rainbow Bridge is a special place for special friends. They both thank you for always being there for them. They want you to know that they are healthy and sharing a special life together in a joyous place called Rainbow Bridge.
