Jo..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Lily is a beautiful girl. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know she is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Lily. Please find comfort in knowing that Lily is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. Hi Jo. Lily is beautiful, with a sweet kind, gentle face. I am so sorry for your loss. Your posted memory of her is moving, touching. Brought tears to my eyes. I can relate to the heartache of losing such a precious family member, companion, fur baby. I can understand feeling like you have lost a part of yourself, your heart, your soul. Please I encourage you to not berate yourself. Easier said than done I know but foremost of all is the complete love you gave Lily which I believe she knew. Additionally because our fur kids understand we are not perfect they are forgiving. Fur kids are amazing, giving totally of themselves to us. Every day they give 100% of themselves. They see us through the worst of times. Having them by our side we feel peace, contentment, support and joy. You and Lily formed a forever bond and many memories together. Please keep these close to your heart. I hope recalling them brings you eventual peace, comfort and joy.

Oh well I am a mess for you. Such a very beautiful, adorable & sweet Lily. And she did have a good life with you. PLEASE do not punish yourself for all you did not do. Things do happen for a reason in this world and I, being a true cat person, know from personal experience that there is only so much you can do with kidney disease. The only thing it does is prolong life and maybe that would not have been too good.She had a great life and she probably did not want to pass next to you because it was probably so very hard for her to leave you. She was doing what she thought best for the both of you. Sing her favorite song to her and tell her how much you love and miss her. And thank her for the wonderful life you had. She will love to hear from you and may come to visit. My Cujo Kitty Kat came to visit me once after I had been singing to him. I have recently adopted two more and one of them looks kind of like your Lily so they all live on in each other and give us the love we need.
