Christina, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Matty. My heart breaks for you because of the swiftness that he became ill then passed. The same thing happened to my Murphy. I want you to know that you did everything you could possibly do for him. He knows it and is now happy and pain free while he is lounging in the warm sunshine. Murphy is most certainly nearby barking up a storm. LOL May the wonderful and loving memories that you have of your little angel remain with you until you meet again.

Christina..Matty is a beautiful boy,...a beautiful tribute for a great friend.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. He is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. Christina, I cried with you as I read your tribute to dear Matty - with you for 15 years. As a cat-lover and former owner of several cats I know what it is when you lose a cat who is a very close friend - and family member. Having to say goodbye the way you did so often falls on us as responsible parents: to see that suffering is minimised - though we are devastated at losing them - and having to make a life and death decision. You are now paying the price of love for him - your baby boy - whom you nurtured from a kitten. Such a relationship is very special and Matty has enriched your life with his unconditional love - opening in you an ability to love you never knew you had: his gift to you. There is no love like the devotion of a cat who has chosen to give you his heart - forever. His loving spirit will remain with you - though because of the Light of Heaven in which he lives - he is hidden for a time from your mortal eyes: until you meet him again across the Bridge - never to part.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Matty. Please find comfort in knowing that Matty is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Matty and my babies have all become good friends.
