Abby..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Oreo is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph, Eva and Hermione while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care.. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Oreo. Please find comfort in knowing that Oreo is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, and Zachary 02/19/23. Abby: You have written a beautiful memorial to the love of your life called My Sweet Oreo. Remembering all those wonderful years together will help soothe your soul, although when we grieve, we tend to second-guess ourselves about not picking up certain signs. As in this case, had you known, and as a responsible pet owner, nothing would have stopped you from seeking out medical care. Hello, handsome Oreo. We're sorry we've not visited sooner but we didn't know about you. We asked our Pressy who is the old gray lady kitty who welcomed you and chases colorful butterflies with you. Pressy told us about you and asked her family to visit playmate Oreo. She said you trade kitty love headbumps and she taught you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy hears your sweet meows and purrs and feels a soft touch of your kitty paw when gentle breezes blow. Pressy said you send love signs to tell Mommy you're in Paradise meadow watching over her waiting until she comes for you one day to cross Rainbow Bridge together for all time. Play happy meadow games with other furangels in beautiful Paradise but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her for she loves you deeply and misses you so.
