King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Oscar. Please find comfort in knowing that Oscar is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Oscar, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. Carol/Bryan..Oscar is a beautiful boy.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us and labs leave them like no other.Oscar is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge.I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

Carol and Bryan, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. What nice photos of Oscar you've put on his memory page. He was a cute guy! It's sad that our pets' lives are so short -- after wonderful years of loving and caring for them, we're left grieving. But you will always carry Oscar's love in your hearts and remain the better people you became by loving him. Perhaps in time, you will be able to think of Oscar more with smiles than tears.
