Oh my I cannot even imagine how you must be feeling. Such beautiful writing about you and Patch. What a very special and absolutely adorable fur angel. Such an amazing profile with the turned up nose!! and her markings so soft and special. You had a wonderful life with her. Our babies suffer as we do when they leave us. So it is so important to talk to them and to tell them how much we love and miss them. And to thank them for such a truly wonderful life. They need to adjust too. Our only reward seems to be that they feel good and will soon be happy. I too just lost a fur angel and it feels like my right arm is gone....I am trying so desperately hard to replace tear sessions with smiles and laughter because I know he does not want me to be unhappy. It is hard but sometimes it does work. No one ever will replace them and that is as it should be. Keep Patch's special places in your home and she will never leave you.She is now your guardian angel.Be well. God bless you both.

Hi Jen and Phil. Your posted memories of Patch is moving. He is beautiful, with a kind, sweet face. Our fur babies are amazing, never ceasing to surprise us in so many ways. Patch was a rock for you, giving his love, comfort and joy through all you experienced together. Patch brought joy to everyone he met. He knew how to enjoy life to its fullest. I cried as I read your posting on losing your beloved Patch. Your deep love for him reminds me of the deep love for my sweet girl who I lost on June 15. Our fur babies always us 100% of themselves. When we lose them we lose a part of ourselves. They are often our best teachers as we learn so much from them about life and ourselves in general. I understand the guilt you feel regarding the vaccine and Patch. Please know that Patch knew he was loved and cherished by you. He would not want you to blame yourself. I know this is easier said than done. The bond you and Patch formed is one that is forever. He is with you in spirit.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope the joyful memories will bring some comfort during this difficult time. Play hard at the Bridge sweet Patch and look for Buddy (our Yorkie). I am so sorry for your loss of Patch. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Patch that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Patch and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Patch continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

For sweet Patch, I know that during your lifetime you gave Jen and Phil much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photos and reading what your family wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Patch, I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Jen and Phil, I just visited your Patch's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Patch would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Patch. Wishing you both all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom).

Jen and Phil: Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless you've owned a dog. A dog can show more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes. Allow memories to begin your journey to healing and may you be supported throughout this exceptionally painful time in your lives.
