What a really beautiful story. Penny definitely was sent to you that special day. And she was happy and lived long and good. I am so very sorry she had cancer. So unkind and so sad. Now she does feel good and is still missing you though. She will for a while just as you will miss her. They suffer just as we do. So it is very important to call their names and tell them how much we love and miss them. How they are still very important in our lives and always we ll be. I carry my angel in my heart and talk and sing to him every day. I know he hears, I can feel him. they become our own personal guardian angels forever watching over us until we hug each other again. What a joy that will be!! really smart of our dear God to have all our babies to greet us when we leave. Anyway, talk to Penny and sing the Bushel and Peck song, I bet she will come to visit. you. God bless you both.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Penny. Please find comfort in knowing that Penny is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. Dear Colleen, Aren't the spirits of dogs so special? I know the sadness you are feeling as I have been a dog owner/lover all my life and know the deep heartache we feel when we lose one so precious to us. I do hope, with time, your sadness will lift and in its place will be joyful memories of Penny that will make you smile or laugh again when you think of her.
