After reading Rascal's Memorial page I can tell he was a one of a kind dog and your very best friend. I have 2 heelers a red and a blue(Pricillia & Shelby) and they are the best companions I have ever had in my life. I cannot imagine what my life would be without them, but I know they canot be with me forever. They are so loyal, smart, fun and well full of energy. I cannot keep them out of the water either. Reading about Rascal and all the things you said Kevin about your best friend really helped me and was very inspirational. Your words and your thoughts were the best I ever read about a man and his best friend. You were blessed to have had such a great dog like Rascal. I am sorry for your loss of Rascal back in 2009. Ironic that my red heeler Shelby was born on June 9, 2009. You should know there are many others like you who feel exactly the same way about their dogs, the way you feel about Rascal. What a beautiful tribute to such a dear friend... I lost my own dear Cattle Dog in Oct 2011, he was a rescue with torn ears, torn nose and a torn lip that made him look like he was snarling but in truth he was a tremendously gentle and grateful soul. Like your Rascal, Cliff was my first cattle dog. I know how much this special breed can teach us, and I am sorry for your deep loss.

You have so many beautiful memories of your beautiful Rascal. Your love and memories will last a lifetime. We too lost our cat, Rocket, and understand your pain. Life goes on but there's an empty space in your heart. But we can look forward to the day when we're all together again. Tell Rascal to find Rocket. He managed to tolerate our 2 dogs but he probably is doing better at Rainbow Bridge and will like your loveable Rascal. God Bless!

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. Rascal Bear, What a precious baby you were, always so loyal and loving. You taught and gave your daddy so much that he now knows the true meaning of unconditional love.
