To my sweet, precious girl, Ruby. It can't be six years since you left us . . . yet it is. Your mom still misses you so much, just like I know you miss her. And Grammie misses you, too, I miss hearing you lean against the basement door--silently waiting--wanting to come up to the kitchen and check out the food situation. You also sat there when Grammie came home from shopping, sure that there was a treat, squeaky toy, or other surprise just waiting to be found in one of those shopping bags. And what a sweetheart! You did love being pet up, especially on your big ole "scratchy butt." I can almost hear you groan in delight as you swayed your butt back and forth under my nails. You sure were the light of our lives and and we all still miss you terribly. Hope you're having good times with all our loved ones, two-legged and four-legged, who have gone before us, Ruby. Grandpa and I love you sweet girl. Durza and Zula do, too.
