Oh what a beautiful doggie you have!! And such a real character it must have been a wonderful life with Rueben! I am so very sorry he had to leave you. You must just keep talking to him so he knows how much you love and miss him. Our babies suffer just as we do when they have to leave us. It is so hard on all of us. The loss and the pain is devastating. There is no way to describe it or make it go away. It is love pain and forever love in our yearning to see them again. I just lost my baby too and I sing to him every day telling him how much I miss him and how forever there is a place for him here. I feel him sometimes so I am pretty sure he hears me. The only peace I get is thinking that he is better now and will soon be happy too. I pray you will find joy in your memories and that pictures and those memories will soon put a smile in your heart and keep your baby Rueben alive forever. God bless and keep you and now Rueben is your own angel!

Hi Joe. Thanks so much for you story of Rueben. He certainly had a strong personality and character. He knew his job and did it extremely well. He was a most beloved family member, companion, travel buddy, guardian angel. Rueben was very loved, cherished. I can tell from your description, you were both bonded to each other. I have no doubt you will find comfort and joy in memories of him.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Calvin Rueben. Please find comfort in knowing that Rueben is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. What wonderful stories Joe. We were taking about how Rubin protected you at the corner. I witnessed him in action protecting you from an on coming car and so did Richie.
