My friend, It's hard to believe a year has passed since we last saw you. Maybe it's because I've seen you so many times in my dreams since. Maybe it's because it seems like a dream that you're not here with us anymore. The last of that still doesn't seem right, maybe that it still does seem as if you're here with us. Every day. In some way. I miss you. We all miss you. Peter misses playing with you. Simon misses sleeping with you on the spare bed. Billie misses hanging with you in the office. Donna and I miss you at our feet in the kitchen, beside us on the couch, and down at the bottom of the bed. You were always there to greet, always there to comfort, to play. You made every day good. What an incredible and loving memorial tribute to your Sam. I have a Sam, too, or actually Samantha Jane. She is a mix lab but is also one of the most loving and loyal fur babies I have ever encountered. Please know my heart is saddened with yours in the loss of your Sam. I do hope with time, it will heal, and you may want to adopt/rescue another as so many are deserving of loving homes like yours. Blessings...

Hi, I've just read Sams Memorial I can see hes very special, its reminds me of my Jasper so much they both have the same friendly natures. I'm so sorry you lost your Sam, its very hard when the vet cant do anything to fix your fur baby, I had the same with Jasper he had Cushings. I hope Sam finds Jasper up at Rainbows, I think they will get along really well, Jaspers very protective he will take care of Sam. Its a very hard thing to get through when you lose your precious fur baby, especially when the love and the bond is strong, which I can see it is here. It does get better with time, its five and a half months now since I lost Jasper I seemed to have stopped crying, I've been told crying is good for you so please don't hold back the tears, just go with it. I am so touched by your words and that beautiful picture of your precious furbaby that I am in tears! Animals are absolutely amazing and even more so when they have people like families like YOU! I am so sorry that you are suffering through so much pain. I have many furbabies at the bridge and I still cry and long for them but there is comfort in knowing that they are in God's hands awaiting for a BEAUTIFUL reunion. I think its one of Gods miracles that the love we share finds its way to heaven and back. I truly believe that every life is precious, every life has meaning and every life has a destiny. No matter how big or how small. Animal and human. We all share this world and this life and our souls are connected. Feel whatever it is you need to feel for as long as you need to. Joe, Donna & Bethy - I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Sam. What a beautiful memorial you created for him. As a fur mama who has lost many babies I know all too well how hard this is for you right now. Please, please know that you are not alone. When I have had to say goodbye to a baby the Rainbow Bridge community has been my salvation many times. The people here know how much you are hurting and know what it means to be able to share your stories (and your grief). And yes you are right, one day we will all be together with our babies and never have to say goodbye again. I pray that your hearts are eased , even a little knowing that my babies have welcomed your Sam to the bridge and that they are all playing and running, happy and healthy waiting for the moment when we see them again. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Sam. Please find comfort in knowing that Sam is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, and Shelby 6/12/18. I am sure that Sam and my babies have all become good friends. Sam I am sorry for your loss. My Princess crossed over to Rainbow Bridge Aug. 13, 2018.There are no more aches or pains. No rain only sunshine. Running and playing all day with the other furbabies. One day we will join them for all eternity at Rainbow Bridge.
