I am so sorry to hear about your recent loss of Smokey. Please find comfort in knowing that Smokey is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Smokey and Spooky have become good friends. My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

To precious Smokey, a new angel at the Rainbow ... I can just see you now with your new angel wings, watching over your mommy back here. And I just know by now you've had a chance to look around for the coziest & softest places to take your sunshine filled Rainbow-colored doggie naps, haven't you... And each time you look up and see that wondrously magical Rainbow, may you know that Joanne has actually helped make it shine a little brighter. How? With her tears, sweet baby. Each love-drop filled tear here that has trickled down her cheeks has mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow shines even brighter for you... An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You now find rest in the Arms of the Angels...what more could your mom have ever wished for you? Smokey, What a gorgeous baby you were, always so loyal and loving to your mommy. You taught and gave her so much that she now knows the true meaning of unconditional love. She misses you so and longs for the day to be able to hold you and to look into your eyes again. I know that you too are so very grateful for all of the love and care in which she provided you. I am certain that you don't want her to be sad for too long, but instead, be happy. For, you are happy, content, at peace and have been surrounded by so many others who also love and adore you, including my Shayna Girl. Smokey - Your Mom's house won't be the same without you....I will miss seeing you roll over and waiting for a rub on your belly....you were such a good boy. Smokey you were a king of fur babies. You meant so much to mama, she made sure she had pictures so all could remember you. I loved the pictures, Joanne they make your loss real to me, and I can only hope my prayers can ease your loss some. I know Smokey found his way to the Bridge and is happy with all his new fur baby friends. I know the wonderful memories you have will forever hold a place in your heart, and these memories will keep his spirit alive forever.
