Carolyn... a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Sparky is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Sparky. Please find comfort in knowing that Sparky is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19 and Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20. The face on Sparky says it all! Carolyn, I’m a bit of a “big dog girl”, but I think Sparky could make me a convert…I can see the “rock star” qualities he had! Seventeen years is a long time to share your lives. Prayers for you as you navigate this unavoidable period of grief. It always seems that just about the time you wonder if your grief will ever subside…that’s when a memory of Sparky will trigger a laugh (out of nowhere!), and then each day will bring you closer to thinking of him with less sadness, and more joy for the time you shared. Know that he is with Spunky at the bridge. What a happy that will be when we’re all together again!
