Patti..Toby is a beautiful boy...a beautiful tribute for a great friend.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. I'm sorry for the loss of your Toby.What a handsome guy. I lost my Finnbar December 2012.I lost my Rocky in March. You gave him such a wonderful life and It is not easy losing our loving companions. I completely understand the pain and grief that you are experiencing and you are not alone. Patti, I am sorry for the passing of Toby in February 2015. That would have made him about 17 years: the brother of Rusty? Welcome to Rainbow Bridge. It does not matter how long it takes he is here now! And of course you still miss him after living with him for such a long time. Bonds of love have formed between you which are unbreakable and eternal: extending into the green fields of Heaven where there are trees to climb and squirrels to chase once more. Just because he has left you for the next life it does not mean he is not close to you - perhaps even closer on a new, spiritual level where pets and their parents can meet in the quiet places of their hearts - and in happy memories of the walks you and he took together. Our mortality prevents us from living for ever on Earth but we may look forward to a wonderful day when our loved ones lost to us in this life are restored to us. There will be no more painful goodbyes - sickness or pain. And the only tears in Heaven are those of joy.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Toby. Please find comfort in knowing that Toby is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Toby and my babies have all become good friends. Hello, handsome Toby. We're sorry we've not visited sooner...we didn't know about you. Our Pressy is the little old gray lady kitty who helped you welcome Rusty to Paradise meadow. Pressy asked her family to visit you. She told us she plays in golden sunbeams and chases bright rainbows and pesky squirrels with you. She said she gives you special kitty love headbumps and taught you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy feels your loving presence with her and your sweet kisses in gentle breezes. Pressy said you sent a love sign to tell her Rusty arrived in Paradise meadow and is watching over her waiting with you until she comes to cross Rainbow Bridge together forever. Play meadow games with furangels in beautiful Paradise but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her.
