And now my sweet little girl has come to her rest. She was my very first dog. When I worked I owned cats, two Sable Burmese and a Calico. The Burmese died at twenty, and the Calico nearly twenty six. When I retired, I bought Abby, a teacup Yorkie who grew to be just three pounds. I never knew I'd grow to love this tiny girl more than I could imagine. We were so connected. Although I'm grateful for the nearly seventeen years we had together I'm heartsick over her loss, just a week ago. I'm having such a difficult time dealing with it, so it's comforting to me to come to Rainbows Bridge and visit Abby's memorial site. My heart goes out to all the others here, may we all find healing.
