Most recently April has been the main comfort to me, Ruth Pellegrini and my husband Don Pellegrini during a difficult time while he recuperates from surgery, radiation and chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma in May 2023. Her death was a total shock and has caught us by surprise as Don has been improving to the surprise of the medical doctors! We praise God and thank our Lord Jesus for the stripes he endured so that we can have healing in this life. We also know April Patches comfort was a gift from our Lord Jesus because in the Bible it says in James 1:17 KJV: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." We know that this "good and perfect gift" of April Patches has been a part of both of our healing. We are so grateful.

April Patches was loved by many. She was listed in my father's obituary, Jack Mostert, after he passed away in April 2022 as "survived by" reading "and his special calico cat April Patches". She was his cat first, then after his death, she became my best friend. She was also precious to May, our caregiver who will miss her dearly. Rick who lives on the property also received comfort from April Patches and considered her his little buddy. She was just a great cat and such a beautiful Calico! Our hearts ache and we miss her more than words can say. Thank you for praying for us.
