What a joy Baxter was to our family for 12 years! So many memories, too many to post here! Treats, bowls of milk every day, ear scratchings, begging for food scraps, chasing cats & squirrels, putting his paw in your lap, keeping guard while in the bathtub, bringing in the daily newspaper, not going out back until you brought his food bowl too, chewing up countless fence boards, running full speed at the school yard every day, riding in the back seat of the Honda Civic, swimming in the Ouachita River, running at Osterland Rec. Center, hiding in the drainage culvert until coaxed out with a treat, getting into a hornets nest, chasing the neighbor causing us to be sued, sleeping every night beside our bed, drinking out of the birdbath, hiding under the little corner bench while at the vets office, slobber drops all over the wood floors, toys shredded within hours of receiving them, countless rawhide bones, being scared of the bad weather, chewing the patio posts while being chained up, meeting us at the door every day and countless more stories to even mention. Baxter was a big, sweet, lovable boy. He brought us many happy moments and he will be missed terribly! |
