Rest in Peace, my beloved Bella. You have been in Heaven more than 6 years now, and I know you are healthy and happy. You never were a mushy girl. From the moment I met you in 2002 you were very alone and aloof. I suppose it is because you lived in a back yard for so long and didn't know the human touch until you were expecting your beautiful litter. I missed the warm companionship of a feline, but things didn't change with you over the years. You remained alone and aloof. I adopted you to "replace" Dorothy, and you were not a good replacement. You know what you were? You were the best You in the world, and I wouldn't have changed things if I could have. Looking back, you were the least trouble of any cat I have ever known and loved. AND, know that I loved you deeply. You were the consummate lady. When it came to hydrating, medicating, visiting the vet, going to the photographer, sitting in church to be blessed, you behaved like a perfect lady. You knew in your heart I was doing right by you, and while you couldn't show it, I knew it. AND, intelligent! You were one smart lady. I suppose that's why you coped with me so well. You knew you were safe and loved, and I promise you that you will always be loved. You were not a good replacement for Dorothy, but she would not be a good replacement for you. You were each as God created you, and the memories I will always hold dear are beautiful memories. You know now that one week after your passing Mr. Rollo Noel and I brought a new little girl into our lives. Ashleigh AnnaBella came the following Saturday. She had lost her human mother and was in a nice foster home. But, she needed a mommie and I needed to fill the big hole you left in my life. She is a warm cuddly older kitty, and she knows all about how lovely you were. Sleep well, rest in peace, and know how much love is with you each and every day.
