Memories of Bummer
Bummer had a difficult start in his life. We had to bottle feed him and we were hoping for the best. Nevertheless, he made it through and we immediately fell in love with him when he was wrestling with his furbaby brother. When he was still a tiny Bulldog puppy, he chased our Large female Newfoundland all over our yard. He was only a fraction of her size, but he was fearless. Bummer was an English Bulldog with black tiger stripes on his sides and well-built with huge, white paws. He was always in your face, day and night, He liked to sit and look at his reflection in the oven, He had a little Bulldog sister named Gracie, with whom he had a good relationship. He liked to shred boxes that came in the mail, and liked swimming in his kiddie pool and drinking hose water in the summer. He also enjoyed the winter snow despite his short coat of hair.

Bummer was a most endearing boy, and hard not to like. But as Bummer got older, he became increasingly lame and short of breath. Then his hind legs gave out due to a disk problem. It broke our hearts when we had to have him put down recently, but he was still a handsome boy 'til the end.
