Our Boogie was born in a milk can on my husband's parents' farm. She was the runt of the litter, but her fiesty nature appealed to me; she was mine the first time I saw her! Boogie was--from the beginning--a unique individual who made a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was a very "cool" cat/person; stoic and loyal to her humans. We nicknamed her Cyber Cat [or C.C.] because she loved to watch me on the internet and writing email; in fact, she sometimes "sent email" to her cousin Casper [my niece Amy's special kitty. Casper passed away shortly before Boogie.]. Another favorite thing was having her "daddy" put their blankie on the floor so they could sit together and watch TV. She spent a lot of time during the last few days of her life, sitting quietly and gazing out the back screen door. What was she thinking about, I wonder? Although Boogie was a house kitty, she wanted to go outside and rest in the flowers during her illness. On her last day with us, Boogie visited all her favorite spots in the house. She cozied up to her daddy's shoes, sat at the back door, and in her rocking chair. Boogie was w/us 12 and a half yrs. She passed away suddenly after the diagnosis of her illness. She must have been feeling the effects of it before she ever let us see she wasn't well. That was Boogie's way. Boogie will always have a special place in our hearts. She was never "a cat"--she was a member of the family. Rest in peace, Angel Kitty, till we meet again. Hope every day--all day--is tooney time for you. And I hope on hot days someone puts an ice cube in your drinking water...just the way you always liked it. PS/On 8-02-02, my sister's little girl [Siamese] Misty went on to join Boogie and Casper at the Bridge. They never met in this life, but now they can all be together while they wait for "their people" to join them. Update: On Feb. 29, 2004, my dear sister Betty crossed that Bridge. I hope she found her Misty on the other side. PS/7-26-04: Good-bye, Big Boy Sammy Cat, look for Misty and Betty--you will find them. 10/10/10: all welcome Stella, our son Brian's kitty, a great hunter & good friend. Update: On 3-22-2016, we had to say good-bye to our 16 1/2 year old kitty Ming Pi. We miss her so much. It is so hard to lose our furbabies....they are family. RIP our sassy Minky. You were a good girl and we will always love and remember you. You and Boogie are free of pain and have met on the Bridge. Have fun playing together and we will see you both again one day. UPDATE: We lost our sweet little stray kitty Princess SaraBeanie on 3-23-2021. We are raising her 2 kittens Gizmo & Stripe, now 16 months old. They are a blessing and part of precious Beanie. We will care for them always for Bean Bean. I have waited to write that we lost our beloved Jangles on 4/27/2022 at 13 years old. The pain of his loss is still so fresh. He was such a special kitty, an Egyptian Mau with a dash of Siamese. Very intellegent and a real character. Jang loved Beanie's kittens and they adored him. It broke our hearts when Jang passed. We will never forget him, and we'll love him always. Hope all our kitties who have gone on know we loved them so much and will never forget them. |
