Memories of Cleo (Miss Clee)
My Little Girl She came into our lives, a blessing, and a gift from above. Born in the wild, her mother,Puddy and brother,Baby, were with her. She and her mother had a hard time trusting humans at first. When young, Ms. Clee spent each day catching birds to bring a gift to us. She spent the rest of her 18 year life bringing joy and love to all who knew her. She was the "only mistress my wife said I could have", because she always slept beside me at night. She was always strong, even when dying, and never gave up. She was the first of the three cats to welcome Bapu, when we added him to our family at the age of 8 weeks. She was truly, an amazing combination of strength and sensitivity all her life. After a cancerous tumor began to grow in her mouth, for the next two months, she did everything she liked in the same way she had always done before...sunning herself at the window, eating a lot, and always living " in the present". She was 18 years old, or 126 human years, so we had to tell my mother who is now 93 "to respect her elders". But, even with all those years of life, she will always be our baby. She was truly Miss Clee, and deserved all the respect that came with her name.We even had a song we used for her from the original Zorro music and we will never forget. We love you ,Miss Clee, and always will. " Into the night, when the moon is bright, Comes a cat whose name is Cleo." Please also visit Baby.
