Cody, I rescued you from a years of abuse and it took a few years for you to fully trust me. You gave me so many years of happiness with your quirky personality and boy did you have a huge one. How anyone could abuse any animal is beyond my comprehension. Even though I do not know what abuse you went thru, it made me sick to think about what all that you could have went thru. You had so much love to give I hope you know that my heart is breaking. Its only been 4days and I miss your fuzzy face. I miss you doing the chickey dance in the morning in front of the frig to get your breakfast. I miss you coming back to my office and doing your little dance to get my attention for eating time or going out to potty. I'd act like I didn't hear you walking on the wooden floor and you would continue to do your cute growl and your Peke talk to try even harder and I want you to know that I am sorry for the hard times I gave you when I was in the middle of something and I couldn't drop it or my work to tend to you right away. You were my home security system and let me know if the noises I heard were concerning or not and then when you would let me know when the UPS man was here. You protected me and gave me love, security & comfort and that is gone now and I am lost. I still talk to you like you are still here. I tell you to be good I'll be right back just like I did every time I left the house and you would go to the window and watch me leave. Rest is peace Bubby, run without any pain like you would do when you were outside and I couldn't get you to come back in so I would have to beg you with more chicky or bakey and you ran like your feet weren't even touching the ground. Hopefully Hollywood met you right away at Rainbow Bridge and he introduced you to Cooper and the 3 of you are running around chasing each other, playing and showing off because the 3 of you were Handsome! ❤️ You Bubby |
