Cooper was an adopted pup in September 2017. Marco Jr. and I went to the Alameda Fairgrounds Dog Fair in Pleasanton, California to look for our special furbaby to add to our family. We saw this rambunctious active barking puppy in an open crate. He wanted to be held. Marco was insistent and made a decision this was the dog we were going to bring home. Soon after Marco held "Popcorn"(Copper Rescue's name) in his arms, a connection was made, he was brought home and renamed our little pup Cooper. He was a 7 month old Rat Terrier Mix that needed love. Over the last 3 years, Cooper brought so much joy, gave us a lot of love, and was part of our family. He was always by our side. His home was his play house. He roamed in all spaces. He made a place of his own under Marco Jr.'s bed when he wanted to be alone. He sneaked items under the bed that he didn't want to get caught with. He was very easy to house train, loved to fetch the ball, agile, eagered to run with his parents Mark and Cathy, and always loved to greet the neighbors with a bark. Cooper enjoyed playing with his friends and frequent the dog park. His favorite treats were Cheese, Ice-cream, Peanut Butter, and Filet Mignon. While he was a protective dog, our family outside of our home grew to love him and will always remember his unique bark. It has only been 6 days since we lost Cooper to a tragic accident in Capitola, CA. We had just arrived to our beach home to begin our family vacation. He is so missed, our hearts are broken, and our home is not the same without him. We miss waking up to him. He was always at the bottom of our feet every morning. Cooper is thought of daily and will always be a beautiful memory of the great times we shared together.
