I went to Heartland Poodle Rescue. I wanted someone to give love to. I drove out and brought you home on a cold and windy December 1 1999. I fell in love with you. You went everywhere. You were a senior, but given the chance to run loose, you had your youthful sprinting run. I went In January 2012, your small aging body showed signs of slowing down. I took you to a veterinary specialty clinic. I needed to know what was going on. The ultra sound showed numerous tumors. In the end, I lost you to Kidney failure. The date on your stone is the date the kidneys started failing. We fought a hard and long fight, but when your little body went limp and your spirit was gone on that Thursday, in May, 2012; I knew . . . the fight was over. Rest in peace my lovely little one.
