Welcome to Daisy Duke's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Daisy Duke
Daisy had this need to be anywhere I was. We had several different swimming pools over the years. Our last one was 52". If I was in the pool, she felt she had to be also. As the pools got deeper it was tougher for her to get in until she learn to climb the latter. When it came to being with me she always found a way. 5/23/23 Dais, it has been over an year now. I know you see that I still cry for you every day. I always think about that last day with you. What could I have done different. You just were in so much pain and I wanted to make sure I was the last person you saw. I kept telling you I will see you again and one day we will be together again. What ever you want for your second dinner I will get you. Dog dogs, chippers, Pizza Man, watermelon and ice cream. I should have been thinking clearly and had them make you comfortable first before anything else. I should have gotten Dr Hand, the Dr that saved your foot, involved for a second opinion. God I miss you so much! I attached a picture of your nieces, Riley Duke and Daisy Duke. They both have different parts of you. Riley follows me everywhere and wants to go everywhere with me. She loves playing in the pool too! She sleeps in your spot on the bed. We just can not figure out why she got Scrappy's looks. Daisy looks just like you. She is the sweetest thing like you were. But, she is a very picky eater. She does not have you confidence yet and sometimes seems unsure of herself. We have taught her to stay away from the fence. Daisy has snuggle with me before she goes to sleep, like you did. Tom picks on her, and not sure if he sees you. They both give Mocha heck! 1/11/25 hi my girl. Another year gone by. I hope you are having fun in heaven playing with Scrappy. No fighting you two! Monday was very hard. I still miss my best friend. I have to admit that it is hard to be here living without you. I'm not sure I would still be here if it wasn't for your two nieces. I know I need to be here for them, they would be lost without me. I wish you could give some of your courage to young Daisy. She is looking more and more like you. And most of the time she has your spirit, but she just scares easily. Nothing scared you because you knew I would give my life to protect you. Rilee always want to be where ever I am like you. And Daisy has her routines like you. If and when my day comes, I will not be scared because I know you are right there on the other side. I love you girl! Visit me again soon!
