Memories of Daisy
Daisy was adopted on Halloween day 2011, having been found starved and filthy on the streets of Tacoma. From the beginning she was the most friendly of any dog I've ever known. It was safe to let her loose on a floor crawling with infants.

Daisy didn't chase cats. She didn't fight with other dogs (in fact, just never engaged.) She never barked except for fireworks and thunder. She was an empath who would focus on anyone in the slightest distress.

Daisy loved walks, especially long ones on new trails for her to explore. She wasn't excited about plain ol' car rides but she loved trucks, SUVs, and the '56 Buick despite the booming engine that rumbled the entire vehicle.

Daisy loved her Mama and Daddy, and her grandparents too who she got to spend her last five years with. Daisy never realized she was a dog, she was people.

Daisy had so many quirks that it would take me a while to write them, and then inevitably I'd realize I'd missed some.

There will never be another in our home or our hearts like our little Sophie Daisy.
