Dazey was a sweet girl, very smart (potty trained at 8 weeks old). In 10 years she never had an accident in the house. I got her in Kratzerville, Pennsylvania on April 20, 2013 at 8 weeks old. The breeder, who had show dogs said she had the highest IQ score of any dog she seen. She was always playing tricks on our other dog. I could almost always read her mind and she could read mine. We would go on walks together rain or shine. She loved going on walks and never needed a leash. She didn't like warm weather and loved the snow. She was always trying to please me. I had to take her to the vet whenever my wife's Bassett had an appointment because the Bassett (Simba) was scared of the vet and Dazey would lay on the floor with Simba and lick his face to calm him down. But at home it was a different story. While Simba was a month older, Dazey was the Alpha and was always picking on Simba. When Simba was sleeping, Dazey would walk up to him and grab his ear or jump on him and run away. Her favorite thing to do was climb the side in the back yard, stand at the top and wait for Simba to start coming up, As soon as Simba got on the slide, she would slide down knocking Simba off the slide. We lived in a subdivision of about 30 homes on 60 woody acres. She loved people and all my neighbors liked her and said she was a special dog. Dazey was a perfect example of dog spelled backwards is GOD, She was truly a gift from GOD. Everyone she met fell in love with her. I had people ask me if they could have her. I greatly miss her. She fought cancer (chemo) for 4 months and still would go for a 3 or 4 mile walk everyday after chemo. Even the chemo team said she never wined during treatment. 04/26/2023 - Good Morning Dazey, It was one week yesterday since you left and it still hurts. Sage, your sister sits on the front porch everyday looking up the driveway for you. I am constantly calling her Dazey. I hope you are pain free, happy, and making friends. PLEASE wait for me! Today I'm going to pick up your Cremains and bring you home! Thank you again for 10 years of LOVE and companionship. You helped me get through a lot. ALL MY LOVE FOREVER! My heart is broken. But knowing you are Pain free, young and healthy helps me keep going. 05/03/2023 - Good Morning Dazey, It's been 2 weeks yesterday, Still very painful. Sage slept in your bed last night for the first time. Friday I'm going to PA to pick up your new sister, Willow from Connie, your breeder. Hopefully she will be as good as you. Will you help me with her? Hopefully you are making a lot of new friends. PLEASE wait for me. ALL MY LOVE FOREVER. We will cross the bridge together! 05/06/2023 - Good Morning Dazey. Saturday I went to PA. and got a puppy, Willow, from Connie. She looks just like you but a little darker. Willow is getting along great with Sage so far. She thru-up twice in the car coming home. All MY LOVE Forever! 05/29/2023 - Thinking of you always. I hope you found Daisy, you sister. ALL my LOVE always. 06/18/2023 - Good Morning Dazey. It's been 2 months since you started your next chapter. I hope your life is better and you are happy, waiting for me. Sage and Willow need a lot of help. My life is very difficult without you. Thank you for everything the last 10 years. I will see you soon. ALL my Love Forever. Say HI to Daisy for me. 07/04/2023 - Happy July 4th. I hope you found your sister Daisy. Sage and Willow say Hi. All My Love always! 08/26/2023 - Happy National Dog Day. It would be a better day if you were with me, I miss you so much! Sage is turning out to be a lot like you. I think she gets confused sometimes because I keep calling her Dazey. All My LOVE Forever. 12/25/2023 - Merry Christmas Dazey, I think of you always. I call your sister Sage, Dazey half the time. I think I will be with you soon, PLEASE wait for me! All my Love Always! 01/01/2024 - Good Morning and Happy New Year Dazey. All My LOVE Forever. Thinking of you and Daisy always. 02/24/2024 - Happy 11th Birthday Dazey!! I wish we could spend it together. Please know I'm always thinking of you. I still call your younger sister, Sage, Dazey a lot. she look just like you. A miss you so much, All my LOVE Forever! 04/18/2024 - One year ago today I had to make the difficult decision to send you to the your next chapter. At 8:00 PM we had to say our last Goodbye, I hope/pray you are pain free, happy, and are waiting for me! I miss you so much! I still call your sister, Sage, Dazey 4 or 5 times a day. She looks exactly like you ( some of the neighbors think Sage is you ). It hurts everyday and the hurt will never stop until we're together again. You will get to meet your 2 sisters, (Sage and Willow). I can't thank you enough for choosing to spend your short life of 10 years with me! Rest in Peace and know we will be together again Forever. ALL My LOVE FOREVER Dazey, You were truly one of amazing Friend. Juty the memories of you have got me through some difficult times. THANK YOU Dazey!!!
