Our Dude came into our lives in 1994 & changed our life forever. We had just moved into our first apt. and was thinking of getting a kitty; of coarse hubby,Stephen really didn't want to but as you are aware, I got my way. Our neighbor we knew had dogs & a couple of kittys himself, so one day Stephen was having a drink w/ him & mentioned that we were looking for a kitty. Our neighbor said his girlfriend had a beautiful male tabby that was in need of a home. So next day hubby went to neighbor about the kitty; he was in a kitty cage,in the cold garage; my husband walked over to this little scared thing that stood at the front of the cage w/his face as if to say "PLESE TAKE ME HOME WITH YOU"; that did it. Stephen grabbed the cage & came upstairs and immediately let him out and first thing kitty did was rub on Steve's leg. That also did it.... the Bond was made between them too and when I picked him up in my arms, first thing he did to me was lay back & give me bellys; ever since that's all he has ever done... belly,belly,my belly boy. We also took Dude's sister Persia the same day in the evening. Neighbors girlfriend came back & said that the people who originally wanted Persia changed their minds and thought that since we had her brother; why separate them. It took a little extra talking too with Steve; but we both thought & wondered what would happen to her if we didn't take her; they kept Dude in the cold garage!! Both Dude & Persia have been with us since then....((FULL))story on Persia go to Catster. More to come...3/24/2012; it's been 1 mth since you left us for the Bridge & still mommy & daddy cry for you. We can't get over the fact that you are no longer here with us & miss you terribly. My baby boy; I miss our belly rubs <3. My buddy; I miss our afternoon time in the sun, giving belly....04/27/12- Happy Birthday baby boy; It has been hard but the pain is easing a bit. 2 months have passed and it seems like yesterday you were with us running through the house & jumping onto the cabinets with the greatest of ease; while mommy & daddy would watch and smile at you. Go my boy and have fun with with your Furr-friends... 5/21/12>> Hi baby boy; you have been gone from us for almost 3 mths now & it seems like forever. You were such a "BIG" part of our lives and can't seem too get over you not being here w/us.We know you have made new furr-friends & able to eat all the chocolate you like. We LOVE YOU !!!! Till next time...9/19/12 Good evening babyboy; As you probably know already & hope you are not mad at mommy & daddy; but we have adopted/saved 2 little furrbabies and they are here with us. Their names are Pumpkin & Sam; you remember Sam; I know you do. They are brother & sister like you & persia is. I am very proud of your sister because she is being like a mommy to them. It was very hard at first trying to make daddy understand about the little new ones; but he did & now he Loves them. You will always have the MOST LOVE from us babyboy; you were our first Kitty & the Best. Daddy has been saying that if you were here,you would just Love the little ones & you would be playing with them like there's no tomorrow. You were always a gentle & playful boy. We miss you Dude. 2/24/13--It is very hard to believe that it has been a year since you left us baby boy & we wil continue to tell you how much we miss you; you were our world,our life & our reason to love. The little ones are getting soo big; they both have their own personalities & each one has something that reminds us of you, whether it be Punky w/ his jumping skills or Sammie who loves kit n caboodle & gravy like you did. We are always telling them that their uncle Dude would be proud to have them in our home. Play my boy, play till your heart is content; we miss you baby. 4/9/13... My baby boy Dude; your sister passed today & on her way to you. She held on to celebrate your birthday along w/daddy's(Steve). She has been very fragile for a long time now & being 100 yrs.old(kitty time)her time has come to say goodbye to us. Take her under your paw & show her all that she has dreamed. Our 1st generation of furrbabies has left us & now we have 2 new babies. Persia & Dude....together again. We LOVE you both forever & ever & ever...Hi Dude; again mommy & daddy are still heart broken over losing you sweetie. It's now 2 years since you left us & not a day goes by that we do not mention your name. On your 2nd anniversary at the bridge mommy lit the lights in our hutch in honor of your day & you. Dude; you still are our world & we will ALWAYS LOVE YOU FOREVER. Our first, our best & our dearest baby of all. We love you Dude........... UPDATE: 2/24/2022...Hi Dude & Persia, it's been a very long time since daddy and I wrote to you both. Punky & Sammiegirl are 8 years old now & mommy has been fostering kittens when they come along and I find them good homes, like Persia and you had with us. As for mommy and daddy we are older and a bit slower these days. I am retiring from my nursing career soon. We have ups and downs but never ever forget you two, we miss you both so,so much. We know you both are still here with us, we see and hear your signs. Love, love love....mommy & daddy.
