Elmo was the smartest, kindest, happiest lab ever. He brought joy to our lives and anyone that met him. He loved going for a swim everyday and playing ball in the grass. Every Sunday he knew and would bring the football to play and throw it to me and run again for the next time. Never afraid of work, he would lay down next to it all day with a smile while I worked. He loved the beach and playing Frisbee more that anything. He could smell the salt air even with the windows closed and try to escape the car. Finally even though his mind was there we noticed him slowing down. Old age, no cushings started to break his body down and still he fought it. With that under control, it was liver cancer that finally took over. He fought to the end at the hospital bring a tear to everyone's eyes even the Drs. that worked so hard to keep him going. He played ball with every last breath he had and then when he was ready, let us know and we had to put him down. He went so fast, he was so tired of fighting. Now at peace with his brother Kobe. We will meet again Elmo. Go play and have fun, you deserve it. Thank You for being in our lives. Love You Schmelly |
