We are never ready for this day but we know that our beautiful boy Berner, Emerson was. Our sadness began in May when the lympho was discovered and the treatments began. In the midst of treatments, you did so well, always happy and gentle with everyone you met; and making us so proud to have such a wonderful boy in our life. You were an abundance of love for us and such comfort and joy on our bed each night. Dad will always remember the long, fun and crazy journey from the mountains of New York in the snow storm through three airports and home to sunny California. He will miss driving around town with you in the blue convertible and Mom in her car where you would stand with your head through the sunroof. Everyone in town loved to see that! Mom cherished the gentleman you were to everyone and held you with Dad as you crossed the Rainbow Bridge. You were Madison's first love, your human sister who will always remember doing the nightly "security check" walks around our cul-de-sac. It was a heartbreaking moment but we know it allowed you to be free of the cancer. Large and loving, mellow and mighty we miss you so much and were blessed to have you here even for the terribly short time you were given. Love and big body rubs, Mom, Dad and Madison, and your 6 month Berner "sister" Moorea. Please also visit Tarkus. |
