Almost two decades ago and we were searching for a sibling to adopt for our lonely male cat, Pinky, we saw a mocha colored 2-month-old kitten and fell in love with it. However, in the adjacent cage was a more mature cat named Gabriella. She was calming the kitten down which we found very endearing. She demonstrated a very intelligent, caring demeanor. Although she was only 6 months old at the time, she appeared as fully grown cat, so we were focused on the playful kitten. She reached out through the cage to touch us and did her best to grab our attention. We noticed she had beautiful green eyes, long whiskers and a black beard and we were sold! We went through a stringent process to adopt her, but it was well worth it. She was a wonderful addition to our family and losing her tonight was very hard. She was very vocal and had a very pleasant and unique personality. A very special girl who will be missed. She is survived by her brother Blue who is grieving for her loss. She will join her other brother, Pinky, who died 12 years ago of Lymphoma, across the rainbow bridge soon.
