Gizmo was a very special boy. We met him when he was 6 years old and he had already endured so much in his life by that time. He had been hurt physically and emotionally. We were going to be Gizmo's 4th family. It wasn't easy at first as Gizmo had trust issues, separation anxiety and was not very social with other dogs. We didn't realize the extent of all of this until we brought him home, but we were not going to give up on him. It took alot of love, effort and time to help Gizmo. Our family was determined to show him that he could trust again and be happy once again also. Gizmo did find a way to trust again and he was definitely a very happy boy. People say he was blessed that we found him and gave him the life that we did for the last 6 years of his life. We say we're the ones that were blessed to have been loved and trusted by Gizmo so much so that he allowed us to give him a forever home and be his forever family. He touched our lives in a very special way and we'll miss him very much. |
