Memories of Golden Nugget

My Sweet Golden Bear, our Gentle Giant, slept away yesterday, to join Harry, Dahlia, Erich I and Erich II. He was our Special Angel Boy, who lived to be 13 years old, living just on love in his recent years. I am happy I moved his bed downstairs, when he could no longer negotiate the stairs without difficulty. Nugget was hugged, kissed and groomed with great affection. Nugget was a rescue dog. He was his original Mom from the time he was 6 months old, until she could no longer keep him due to divorce. He was already 7 years old when Ed and I adopted him and might not have been adopted due to his age. Two months after we adopted Nugget, he required a hip replacement, or he would no longer be able to run. Twenty-four hundred dollars later, he was as good as new (we'll, almost).
